Edentulous

Toothless.


Enamel

Hard calcified tissue covering dentin of the crown of tooth. Enamel is the hardest substance in the body.


Endodontics

The dental speciality that deals with injuries to or diseases of the pulp, or nerve, of the tooth and associated periradicular conditions.


Endodontist
A dental specialist who limits his/her practice to treating disease and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions.

Erosion

Wearing down of tooth structure, caused by chemicals (acids).


Eruption

When a tooth emerges or pushes through the gums.

Esthetic Analysis

Is an evaluation for the purpose of treatment planning, of a person's smile and comparing it to established parameters and components that contribute to an esthetically pleasing smile. Such parameters as: tooth - size, shape, proportion, position, symmetry, colour, midline; gingival - symmetry, levels, health; amount of tooth gum exposure during a smile etc... (just to name a few) are measured and determined.
