New Patients
OUR GOALS

- Make you feel comfortable
- Understand what is important to you
- Gain a thorough understanding of your oral health
- Help you achieve the results you want
- Help you maintain your dental health
WHAT TO EXPECT

Our focus is on providing you with the most accurate, comprehensive analysis of your current situation. We want you to fully understand your present dental health and how it relates to your future well being. We then educate and help you understand any proposed treatment recommendations and how we can best improve upon your current situation for your dental health to be maintained for a lifetime.
To enable us to do this, we follow a thorough and systematic approach that usually involves the following:
- Gather personal/insurance information, medical and dental history
(this can be done prior, see online New Patient Forms)
- Comprehensive exam and radiographs (x-rays)
- Diagnosis /Treatment Planning
- Consultation
- Treatment
The amount of time involved in this process varies depending on the complexity of the case and current state of your dental health.
Please note, a frequently asked question is: “Will I get my teeth cleaned at my first appointment?”
The answer to this question is different for each individual and is based upon the complexity of the case, your current state of dental health, and amount of deposit (tartar) on your teeth. Please understand, it is in your best interest and a necessity for us to gain fundamental knowledge about your condition first and foremost, then begin treatment. We will endeavour to initiate preventive/ hygiene care (cleaning) and maximize your time in the office; however completing your cleaning is not always possible on your initial visit. Thank you for your understanding.
